Lots of dried-currant character to this wine as well as tobacco and cedar. The palate is fresher than you might expect as it still shows rather steely tannins and some endearingly edgy acidity. Long and very complex on the finish. Drink in 2022.

| Producer Info | Poderi Gianni Gagliardo are rooted in the history of a traditional farming family. Ever since 1847, the Colla family has worked its vineyards in an excellent area, Piedmont’s Langhe zone. In the early years of the new millennium, the sixth generation of the family gradually began to work for the house. Stefano, Alberto, and Paolo, the sons of Gianni Gagliardo, inherited both the passion for the vineyard and the ability in the world of business which have continued to write pages of success in the history of the family firm’s production of wine.
The management of the vineyards is based on balance and on the maximum respect of the vines and the soil. The artisanal approach, and the great attention to the environment and to details during all the various phases, are fundamental pillars of the current production approach. The wines are characterized by a tireless search for elegance, balance, and harmony.
