Tenuta Garetto

"The history of Tenuta Garetto dates back to the early 20th century. The winery is located in Agliano Terme, in the heart of the new Nizza DOCG appellation of Monferrato, a sunny and energetic land. Agliano Terme in particular is well-known as “the village of Barbera”. It is characterised by sandy marls that give strong, attractive, energetic wines with unusual longevity.

The estate can count on old vines planted between 1935 and 1950, as well as more recent vineyards. The best grapes are handpicked. Most of the work in the vineyard is also done by hand. Vinification takes place in their modern cellar adjacent to the vineyards.

Tenuta Garetto was acquired the Gagliardo family in July of 2017. Gagliardo said that he and his brothers ""fell in love"" with Garetto when they saw the estate, with “great old vines there, superb soil and exposure”."
