Barolo DOCG Cerequio, Boroli
Vintage 2004
750 ML
HK$788.00
Score: WA91
The estate’s 2004 Barolo Cerequio reveals considerable detail and nuance. Well-articulated aromatics meld into a sweet, expansive core of fruit. The wine possesses terrific energy and depth in a beautiful expression of the Cerequio vineyard, one of Barolo’s top sites. The tannins are well-integrated and the French oak is used judiciously. This is a commendable effort from this young winery. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020.

In the nineties, the Italian publishing moguls and Piedmont natives Silvano and Elena Boroli felt the need to reconnect with nature, and transformed their passion for wine and the Langhe region into commitment and dedication. Boroli focuses solely on the highest quality in crafting unique Barolos originating from their great vineyards and terroirs. The estate is now run by their son Achille Boroli, whose winemaking choices are focused on one thing: producing unique Barolo wines of extreme quality.
