Barolo DOCG Cerequio, Boroli
Vintage 2009
750 ML
HK$648.00
Score: WA92
Moving over to the single-vineyard expressions, the 2009 Barolo Cerequio is graced with silky finesse and beautifully integrated tannins that give the wine both structure and staying power, but in a very unobtrusive manner. Like some of the best 2009 Barolos to be found, it delivers a smoky mineral note of brimstone or lead pencil that is simply divine. The wine is highly representative of one of the greatest vineyards in the La Morra township. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2030.

In the nineties, the Italian publishing moguls and Piedmont natives Silvano and Elena Boroli felt the need to reconnect with nature, and transformed their passion for wine and the Langhe region into commitment and dedication. Boroli focuses solely on the highest quality in crafting unique Barolos originating from their great vineyards and terroirs. The estate is now run by their son Achille Boroli, whose winemaking choices are focused on one thing: producing unique Barolo wines of extreme quality. For this reason, he cut production levels, updated the winemaking technology, and focused on low intervention methods to raise the quality of the Boroli wines be on a par with the finest Barolo. |
