Barolo DOCG Cerequio, Boroli
Vintage 2007
750 ML
HK$648.00
Score: WA90
The 2007 Barolo Cerequio flows with sweet red cherries, licorice, flowers and mint. It shows gorgeous textural finesse and elegance to match its approachable personality. Layers of sweet perfume weave through to the finish. Boroli is still a young estate, but given the quality of this vineyard, there is every reason to hope – and frankly, expect – the Cerequio to be an even better and finer Barolo in future vintages. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019.

| Producer Info | Boroli is a family-owned winery with roots in Piedmont dating back to as early as 1831. In the nineties, the Italian publishing moguls and Piedmont natives Silvano and Elena Boroli felt the need to reconnect with nature, and transformed their passion for wine and the Langhe region into commitment and dedication. Boroli focuses solely on the highest quality in crafting unique Barolos originating from their great vineyards and terroirs. The estate is now run by their son Achille Boroli, whose winemaking choices are focused on one thing: producing unique Barolo wines of extreme quality. For this reason, he cut production levels, updated the winemaking technology, and focused on low intervention methods to raise the quality of the Boroli wines be on a par with the finest Barolo. |
